too many
books from famed
author Joy Cowley! Every story in the series is full of wonder and expression, and
include the most critical elements in ELA for young readers. Your eye is immediately drawn to the
beautiful illustrations, then you are pleasantly drawn into the world that is Mrs.
Wishy Washy.
The characters
are few and simple, the text is predictable with a smattering of pertinent
vocabulary, and text to illustration connections are obvious.

My favorite feature
of the readers is the information for conduction lessons using the books–just inside the
back cover. Vocabulary,
sight words, and suggested questions about the “feel”
of the story are extremely helpful! And, perhaps the best feature, the word
count on the back
cover-perfect for doing a quick inventory of a student’s current reading
ability.

I love Mrs. Wishy Washy too! We read the book and I have lots of literacy center material to go along with it. Sentence building with sight words and predictability, clothes pin letter review. I have never dressed up but would love to someday.
Mrs. Wishy Washy is the best! The kids are always actively engaged when hearing her stories! We love to retell the story using puppets. We also love using pudding and animal crackers to "wash" (lick clean) our animals just like Mrs. Wishy Washy. Thank you for sharing.

I love that every child feels successful with the text.
I love Mrs. Wishy-washy and have been using the original book for years. My K4 classes love reading it again and again and one our favorite things to do is to act out this 'lovely' story. Can't wait to read this new one.
I love Mrs Wishy Washy! I have a book that is really old – but I love reading it every year! We talk about the text and the familiar words. The kids love that they can read the words! 🙂

I teach all the first grade reading in my school. I used the Mrs. Wishy Washy books in my last school and miss them so much. I would love the chance to share these stories with my kids.
I am a Kindergarten teacher.Reading Specialist. My students love the two Mrs. Wishy Washy books we have. Books we love = lots of reading. Lots of reading = better reading. More Mrs. Wishy Washy books means more and better reading!!
I have a whole unit on Mrs. Wishy Washy and I've lost the book! I'd love to win. Thanks for the chance! ahenry4443ah@gmail.com
