I am enjoying the early Spring weather, aren’t you! We are working on the ELA standard for writing directions, so we wrote how to dye Easter eggs today. It is amazing how quiet a group of little writers can be when they are very engaged in the subject matter when it has personal meaning for them!
Here are a few pages of activities I will be using this week. The two simple stories ask students to discriminate between beginning and ending sounds, then supply the letter that makes the sound(s).
I hope you have a wonderful Easter everyone! Please leave comments and let me know if this fits your week as well as it does mine! The stories are pretty self-explanatory as far as what letter or word would make sense. The last sentence of the story below could be can or pan, but not fan, etc.
I have been absent from the blog for a couple of weeks due to my work with the high school choirs and soloists during the month of March. I tutor and accompany students in preparation for district music contests. We are taking four soloists to state contest this year! I am so excited for them 🙂 Life is busy, but life is good!
Hugs to all,
Maggie
