I am a big believer in writing to read–in this case, it’s writing sight words to imprint them on our memories. My personal learning style is mostly auditory, but I have always rewritten notes in college classes etc., to really commit things to memory. Current brain-based studies encourage us to address all learning styles when we teach, so here is an activity that allows those who need to write it to remember it some practice (and that would be most kinders–don’t ya think?)!
