December is a great month for music in the classroom, and when that music connects to important concepts like reading, it’s a win-win! I made this simple visual activity to help kids develop better one-one print matching. As they add trees to cover each letter in the word SANTA, students learn to watch and respond as a team. They also learn to identify seasonal words as well as strengthen recognition of letters in those words. More seasonal words will be added in the coming weeks. Just click on the animated notes to hear the song each time you sing a new verse as you cover letters. When all letters are covered, Santa will say Ho-Ho…Ho-Ho-Ho!
