In the midst of this snow storm, I am working on tentative lesson plans for the first week back to school knowing full well we will probably not be returning on Monday. Here in the Mid-West we are being hammered by the super chill and snow of current storm. It’s a good time to reflect on what is needed to get us back in the learning groove. I spend about a week reviewing classroom rules and routines every January, so I made a little poster set and booklet to start things off right! You can grab it here. If you follow my store, you can leave a comment here for a chance to win one of three of this set. Good luck!
This is a great time to study the seasons! Bring some snow into your classroom and let the fun begin! My daughter-in-law brought snow in and put it in the bathtub for my grandsons. They had a load of fun scooping, making mini-snowmen, watching snow melt and observing all the things snow can do in its frozen form! This can be accomplished with a wash tub in your sensory center at school. Just include measuring cups, measuring spoons, rulers, and cookie cutters and watch the fun! The beauty of it all is it’s water, and it will clean up in a flash!
Here is the FREEBIE! This is just one month out of my Learn the Months of the Year Packet. Stay warm!
