I can’t believe it is going to be October on Tuesday! Are you ready for this month? Lots of dibeling, assessments for grade cards, parent-teacher conferences, and Halloween are the stuff of nightmares for some people, but I love this season! Fall is finally beginning to take hold, kids are beginning to show signs of really “getting” letters and sounds, and the real work is beginning. We are on Lesson 5 in our Journeys series, so reviewing four sight words, practicing all letters and sounds, and reading predictable text takes much of our time!
In math we are journaling, counting, and working with manipulatives, not to mention tracing numbers 0-5! that we comprehend numbers to five are being practiced daily. Here are my plans for the coming week!
Notice that my friend Kaci has a new letter identification/practice set, and so do I! I think they will pair nicely
for RTI and independent center time! Also, I have some wonderful resources from Elizabeth Hodge, Deedee Wills and Deanna Jump, and others! These are great activities to help your little ones “get it”! Click on the first pic of my visual plans to download from dropbox! Be sure to download for my freebie! As always, I want to thank Deedee for letting me join her Peek At My Week! Be sure to visit her blog!
