I love this time of year the most, and admit freely: Fall is MY season! I love how the days get shorter, and how the sun looks in the late September evenings. And this is such a great month for teaching about nature as it prepares to sleep for another winter season. What makes the leaves know when to change? Where do hummingbirds go? These are the teachable moments that cannot be missed when you teach inquisitive five and six year olds. This week we will begin our discussion of apples, and learn three simple terms to describe the apple.
