What a busy weekend! I am so blessed. I found out that I will get to be Nannie for the 6th time! Having your own children is so special, but I am in agreement with those who say grandkids are a whole new kind of “precious”. Love spending time with them. š
Tomorrow is the beginning of a journey for many kinder teachers across the country who are using the new Journeys 2014 reading series. We are into our third week, so tomorrow will be our very first complete lesson structure, and it’s a doozy! I really like many of the elements of what the children will be practicing. In addition to the new reading format, we’ll continue to work on our names (first names mostly), learn to sequence and sound out letters, and practice drawing and working with 2D shapes in our Math Journals. It will be a busy four days, but lots of fun! I am joining Deedee Wills’ Peek at My Week Linky once again, so here are my visual plans for September 3-6. Be sure to download the pdf file from google drive so you can click on links to freebies and other products I may be using during the week. Centers are going well, so I’ll be introducing a few more activities to my students this week.
