This is a busy time for teachers, and planning with two new curriculum programs has been…can we say…challenging for me!
Trying to find time for literacy and math stations has been equally as challenging, but all in all, I am feeling good about the schedule and how it’s all working for now. Here is a look at what’s going on in my class this week. I love that our standards are in our curriculum, making my “real” lesson plans much easier! Here is a list of my instructional schedule:
7:45 Arrival and morning work
8:20-9:00 Morning Meeting/Calendar Activities
9:00-9:30 Writer’s Workshop (we go to 9:40 some days)
9:45-10:25 Whole Group/Small Group Guided Instruction
(two rotations each day) I pull individuals during
rest time later at 12:30-1:15
10:25-11:00 RTI
11-11:45 Lunch/Recess
11:55-12:30 Math
12:30 Rest/Individual Assessment/Reading Instruction
(Title teachers pull students during this time too)
12:50 Read-aloud
1:15 through the rest of the day until 2:45 are Recess and Specials
We have our Science and Social Studies Focus at 2:45 while students snack.
