Pencils can be a difficult tool to keep up with sometimes. The lead breaks, paper-covered ones jam up standard sharpeners, average sharpeners “eat” colored pencils, and kids lose pencils left and right! My solution for these problems?
I have a can for pencils with student names on them at each table. Pencil points stick into a piece of styrofoam to keep them from spilling when bumped!
PINK sharpener! Troy at Classroom Friendly Supplies will donate 1.00 from each sale to two cancer charities. I am ordering one for myself, but the best news…I’ve saved it for last. I am hosting a giveaway for one of the new PINK sharpeners! I love this hue of
pink (not that pepto bismol pink, blech!).
All you need to do is go to Classroom Friendly Supplies’ Facebook
page and click like, follow me on Bloglovin, and enter by Sunday, September 1, 2013 for a chance to win!

And, here is a little poster I use to reference how to hold a pencil. Grab yours by clicking on the pic! Good luck! I hope you win the sharpener. You’ll love it!
