I must admit, I go back and forth on my love for chevron and polka dots. Both patterns come in all of the primary colors, pastels, brights…it is just too hard to pick one! So, I have a combination of both. I have lots of dots in my room, from the lanterns hanging from my ceiling, to the ribbon embellishing my chair pockets and table skirt, my bulletin board, and several objects (containers and
such). Here is my reading focus wall with the cute “Dots on Chocolate” border from CTP.
And my library and cubby center with polka-dotted lanterns from
Michael’s.
It just makes my room such a happy place to be, and we all know that kindergarten and “happy” go hand in hand!
Since we are all thinking about room design, I’d like to at least help you with the decision on whether to use chevron or polka-dots! So…I am hosting a giveaway for your choice of one of six sets from my store. I have the cutest wall display planned to leave in my hall the entire year. This is one I will be using to feature student work with each student’s photo on their own pennant in the banner, and it could be yours if you are one of FOUR winners. I have sets made with captions for Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade. The caption is:
In Kindergarten, Every Year Is A Banner Year (In 1st Grade, In 2nd Grade)
