I am having such a fun February with my sweet class! February is a magical month when those little brains finally “get it”! Our writing is becoming more complex with noun, verb, and more and more…adjective usage. Our penmanship (through consistent practice two days a week) is improving by leaps and bounds! And…who doesn’t love a craftivity that aids in making connections with writing??? Here are pictorial highlights from our week, and a great set of resources for making those highlights shine!
And be sure to check out what we will be using next week!
We had a blast on Thursday, just dotting along! They are getting good at joining and making
number sentences!
Our handwriting focus 2 days a week is really helping! I am using a practice method that
I developed earlier in the year. You can read about it here.
Lori from Teaching With Love and Laughter has made our week with this fun Scoot game for medial sounds! They ask to play it frequently! You can grab it here.
My students loved this craftivity, and the letter to help us connect how much we appreciate our family!
You can grab this cute set here.
You can find next week’s activities from Kindergarten Smorgasboard here.
If you’d like a great set of activities that help with practicing word families, check out Shuna’s set here.
And, as promised, here is the freebie!
Valentine letters to trace and color 🙂
