My favorite go-to activities for students who finish early are big book station activities. At this point in the year my students are loving word searches in our library books and big books, so I made another big book
station recording sheet set. There is a tie-in with tallying, counting by fives, and counting to 20 along with lines to practice writing the word each time it occurs in the book. The second sheet is for writing the word again twice, then using the word in a sentence. This is open ended, allowing students to pick which word they will look for and count. Making your go-to activity one that builds word recognition as well as fluency is always a plus for students. Grab yours by clicking on the picture below! Have a happy Wednesday too!
Be sure to comment if this is something you will use in your big book station!
