Since September, I have enjoyed using the best pencil sharpener I’ve ever had. For 25 years I have struggled with pencil sharpeners that eat the pencils, break the leads, sharpen unevenly, and get jammed…never-to-live-again! I can honestly say that this sharpener has been a dream to use. It is not completely jam-proof, but when it does jam, you have a way out! It can be taken apart so you can easily get to the cylinders and clear the jam. I am happy to announce that I will be giving away one of these wonderful things! I think my favorite classroom tool is going to be the new personal laminator I'm saving to buy. I went to a workshop the other day, and the make-and-take was making 'greeting' cards and laminating them. I print out so much cute stuff, and then, it takes forever for it to get back to me from the school laminating room. I have heard incredible things about this sharpener. I have tried many times to win a pencil sharpener like this! Maybe this time! My favorite classroom tool is a pencil. I have loved pencils since I was a child. They can do so many things! There is no greater sight than to see a child with pencil, paper, and imagination. Maybe imagination and a good attitude are the perfect "tools" of a good classroom.
