If you are like me, you want to have all of this theme stuff on the walls, the library station well stocked and organized, the math and literacy stations ready to go, and most of the “look” of the room
finished well before school begins. I am the least stressed when I know I have the work of arranging and organizing mostly done. Then I can focus on the “think” part of getting ready for school. Here is what I accomplished today…
My desk and CCSS Posters Wall (kinders can’t read the standards cards, so I have them handy to flip
to the standard being taught for the current day for anyone who may wander through my room). I am undecided about whether I will display each card on the wall after a standard has been introduced. I used command hooks to hang the card rings from.

I love the bucket seats. A boy can dream for those, right?!

You really need to grab some buckets and lids from Home Depot and make some! It really isn't complicated, and for about 35.00 you can have your own! I used Krylon paint for plastic. If you don't mind the orange, you can just paint a couple of coats of orange over the already orange HD buckets. It takes way less paint!
I love everything that you have done so far. Your bucket seats are great! 🙂

I love your room decor. The quote is beautiful. You have created such an inviting place to learn. Congrats!
I love your room! Are you still using IB? If so, how do you get the learner profile and all the other IB stuff to mesh with your room decor? I need some ideas. Thanks
Hi Olivia,
I am not thinking clearly, lol. What are you referring to when you say 1B, or is that LB…I think I need to go to bed! 🙂 Thank you,
Maggie

I have to ask: how did you make the cushions for the bucket seats? We are looking at doing something for the classroom but stools are so expensive!
Thanks!
