I received a nice email surprise today that my room will be open on Friday! I can begin setting up my room for next year! Woohoo! One of the things I will have as a literacy work station is this great idea!
I would love to give credit to the originator, but someone failed to link the pin to a blog or website 🙁 I have a big book easel with storage in the back and a dandy white board on the front. I will put a vinyl tape grid on it, put magnets on the back of the playing pieces, hang the headers, and voila! Another great literacy center. Students must play with the pieces the first round, then write b or d with a dry erase the second round. I will eventually add a third round where they have to practice writing b or d. Love this idea, and I know it will help us with these tricky letters! I color coded the b and d to give them one more little brain “hook”. I love comments! Let me know how you will use this set 🙂 You have permission to pin this post 🙂 Here is a companion FREEBIE! I made a Notebook file to use with your smart board. I even included an applause feature! Click on the pic to grab it 🙂

I am so jealous that you are already able to start setting up your room! I can't ever get into mine to even arrange my furniture until August 5! I will have to read the rest of your post later. Right now, I am too distracted by thinking of all of the wonderful things that could be done if I had all of July and half of August to set my room up!
