I am so excited to show you my 1st scrapbooking project! These are the name plates/desk helpers I will use to begin school this year. I am not decided yet about keeping them for the whole year 🙂
I made the printed elements using my purchased fonts from Sigaprint Software. This is the school font, so any free school font site would have something comparable I would imagine. My plan is to provide the basic letter set for reference, and a numberline that can be written on with a dry erase marker when we need it for math. This project is layered with blue card stock which I cut in strips and mounted on the back of the white card with the print. I used the fish and fish bowl cutouts from the “Animal Kingdom” Cricut cartridge. Since I am new to cricut and scrapbooking, I do not have the best gel pens. I think a more glittery gel would be awesome on the edges of everything. Of course, I am a dot crazed kinder teacher too, so I wanted to include dots in the design. This was accomplished by covering a piece of white card stock with dotted tissue paper, then mounting it over the blue strips, hiding the edges–and the fact that I saved paper by using the strips, lol. Here are pics of the front and back of my finished (I think) product.ve
